* Salisbury Steak *

Like most of my recipes, I got this one from my mom. This recipe brings back memories for me...yummy family dinners growing up, making it for Heathe when we were dating (trying to impress him) and messing it up--but he ate it anyway...good times :) It is super easy and a great way to use ground beef and other staples I have in my cupboards.

Salisbury Steak
*1 lb ground beef
*1 egg
*1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
*1/4 c. chopped onions
*1/2 t. salt
*1/4 t. pepper
*2 T. parsley
*2 T. soup mixture (below)

Soup Mixture (I double this to have extra gravy):

*1 can cream of mushroom soup
*1 t. worchestershire sauce
*1 t. mustard
*1/2 c. water

Mix first 7 ingredients and add the two tablespoons of soup mixture. Form into patties and brown over medium heat. Drain excess grease from pan. Cover patties with soup mixture and simmer for 1/2 to 1 hour, basting frequently. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.

Hooray! I just found your recipe blog! I'm thrilled because I've been wanting to steal your banana bread recipe ever since we went camping this summer. Thanks!!! P.S. remember those dang sprinklers?? Haha..
